Clearing Up Clutter On Your Hard Disk Windows 7

New computers which run on Windows 7 are very quick and work well. However, as they are used for prolonged periods of time they will start to slow down. One reason for this is because of clutter on your hard drive.

Windows 7 is a very useful and powerful operating system. However, if your computer is slow then you will need to first clean it up.

What causes Windows to Slow down?

There are many reasons why Windows 7 will start to slow down. The most common reason is because your computer will collect all sorts of files. These files will collect on your hard drive which makes it difficult for it to function correctly.

Clutter

If there are too many files on your computer then this is known as clutter. This results in too little space being available on your computers hard drive. You will be able to fix this by removing the unnecessary files and folders.

Fragmentation

Fragmentation is another major problem which can slow your computer down. This is where the files are split up and spread across your hard drive. This makes it more difficult for your computer to actually find the fragments of the files.

Fixing the Problem

There are several different ways that you can use to fix the problem. The first thing that you need to do is start deleting files on your computer. This can be used to speed up your PC. Uninstall any of the applications that you don’t intend on using.

Disk defragmenter can also be used as a way of optimizing the files stored on your computers hard drive.
