Repairing Activex Error 429

ActiveX is a technology used in computer programming to use the same component over and over again. This is also commonly referred to as OLE Automation.

Causes of ActiveX Error 429

The activeX controls are used on websites to make certain sites more user friendly and functional. However these can put your personal data at risk because the present serious vulnerabilities which can compromise your security.

Fixing the Error

If you experience activeX error 429 then you will normally see a message saying that the object cannot be generated or created. This is a common problem when running applications which were written using Visual Basic.

In order to fix activeX error 429 you first need to find out what is causing the error. You might find that the file on your computer is not registered or missing completely. You might also be missing the necessary runtime files for visual basic.

If the needed dll and ocx files are on your computer but are not registered then you will first need to register them. This can be done automatically in Microsoft visual basic as long as the dependences are correctly listed and this should rid yourself of the activex error 429. You can also register each of these files manually by using regsvr32.

It’s actually very easy to repair the activeX error 429 if you know exactly what you are doing. Sorting it out now properly will prevent it from being a problem in the future.
